Covid Resilient Energy & Sunrises Over Unnamed Lakes

What I Learnt:

As per Techcrunch, 90% of the total power capacity added globally in 2020 came from renewable sources.

And while the majority of our energy needs will continue to be met by fossil fuels for the foreseeable future, it is heartening to see such large investments being made in the renewal sector.

What wasn’t surprising though, was the continued reliance renewable energy has on political support in the form of favourable, and some say partial, policies.

Looks like renewable energy is resilient to the covid crisis, but not to government interference. Oops, I meant patronage.

What Made Me Happy:

Watching the sun rise while standing on the banks of an unnamed, or at least unknown to me, lake near the Embassy Riding School in north Bangalore. The wisps of mist evaporating in the golden light made for such a beautiful landscape. Talk about the golden hour! Wish I had taken my camera with me.
