A Word We Need & An Unexpected Holiday

What I Learnt:

There is no officially defined word for the smell of old books. ‘Biblichor’ is the word that is most commonly used though.

Apparently it comes from the Greek word, Biblos, meaning book and the Ichor, meaning "the fluid that flows in the veins of Gods".

I can’t believe that no one has bothered to define it so far! Anyone who loves reading knows how amazing that smell is.

What Made Me Happy:

Finding out on Monday morning that today was a holiday.

Karnataka Rajyothsava was officially celebrated yesterday. And I didn’t realise that today was a holiday for us at work. Imagine my glee when a colleague of mine pointed it out!
